Hello, crafty friends! I have a project to share with you today from another one of Spellbinders’ new collections – Celebrate You. Spellbinders sent me the Gift Bag die set to play with, and it is now available in their online shop. For the second day in a row, I am sharing a project that is not a card! I love making cards, but it has been fun to create other things.

Creative Process
There are two dies in the Gift Bag set, and you cut each of them twice in order to create a bag with handles. I used white card stock to cut my pieces. After die cutting, you just need to score the pieces along the score lines that the dies create. I assembled my bag using Scor-Tape. I wanted to embellish my bag with dies, which is why I went for a blank white canvas for the basic bag structure.
I cut out a bunch of white flowers and leaves using the Petite Floral Potpourri set. This set is perfect for this little bag. I then adhered the die cuts to the bag with liquid glue. For the little, round center pieces of the flowers, I used Copic markers to add color. I also added a few sequins to some of the flowers. I love the tone on tone look of this, as well as the dimension the flowers add.
I made my own tiny tag by hot foiling the sentiment onto a piece of white card stock and then blending some pale yellow ink over it. The foil acts as a resist, so the ink doesn’t cover up the words. I used the matching sentiment die to cut out the sentiment, and then I just pierced a hole at the top so that I could slip some silver thread through. I tied this to the handle, added some pale blue tissue, and I was done! This is such a sweet little bag to give to someone and let them know they’re appreciated.
The design possibilities for this little gift bag are endless, but I can tell you that there is a lot of patterned paper in my craft room just waiting to be used with this die set! There are also many different options for handles – you don’t have to use the die included in the set. You can use ribbon, twine, or you can make some other sort of paper handle.
I hope this sweet little bag brings a smile to your face. Thank you so much for joining me again as I try out something other than a card. I’ll see you next time!
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
