Hello, crafty friends! I am excited to be sharing some cards that I made with products from the new Be Creative Release from Simon Says Stamp.  This release has a little bit of everything. There are a lot of sentiment stamps and dies, new cling stamps and stencils, and new organizational supplies and tools.

Parallelogram Cling Stamp

The new Parallelogram Cling Stamp is a lot of fun and can be used with many different techniques. For my first card, I simply stamped it with black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. I colored it with my OLO markers and then created a shaker card using the Waffle Flower A2 Shaker Cover. I used the same markers to color the letters on the Chunky Happy die.

For my second card, I used one of my favorite techniques when it comes to cling stamps by pulling out my shimmer powders. I stamped the Parallelogram Cling Stamp onto a panel of watercolor paper with VersaMark ink and clear heat embossed it. I sprinkled my Nuvo shimmer powders onto the panel and then spritzed it with water. After letting the panel dry, I trimmed it down and adhered it to an A2 card base. I stamped a sentiment from the new Big Old Birthday set onto white card stock and trimmed it down using one of the dies from the Pinkfresh Studio Blanket Stitch Rectangle die set. I actually used partial die cutting in order to cut the sentiment to the size I wanted.

The main supplies for my Parallelogram Cling Stamp cards are linked below. You can find all of the basic supplies that I used for my cards at the end of this post.

Brush Strokes Stencil

For my third card, I used the new Brush Strokes Stencil. This stencil can be used in a lot of different ways. I chose to use it as a way of giving subtle interest to a background stamp. This particular stamp – the Botanical Split stamp – has solid images, and I though it would be cool to stencil the design over the stamp without losing any of the stamped image. I achieved this by stamping my VersaMark ink pad through the stencil and then embossing it with a translucent powder. In this case, the WOW Pink Tutu is not only translucent, but it also has glitter in it. So, while the pink stripes are kind of subtle, there is a really fun glittery shine to it.

I used the Script Mom Shadow die set for my sentiment. The leaves from the Berry Stems die set look a lot like the leaves in the Botanical Split Stamp, so I cut some of those from vellum to embellish the card.

Mini Slimline Falling Confetti Hot Foil Plate

For my last card, I hot foiled the new Mini Slimline Falling Confetti plate with Rainbow Confetti Foil on white card stock. I ink blended the panel with lavender ink – the foil resists the ink! I used the new Acetate Sheets from the Be Creative release to turn this into a shaker card. The new “You Shine” sentiment die set was perfect for this shaker, and I love the sub-sentiment, as well.

As I mentioned at the beginning, the Be Creative Release has a lot of new tools and organizational supplies. One of my favorites is the new pack of Storage Envelopes that are perfect for larger stamp sets. I am also using these to store my new Acetate Sheets. And, I am using them for my specialty card stock that is smaller than the standard letter size pack of paper. These envelopes are a lot sturdier than what I had been using before!

That’s it for my cards today. I had a lot of fun making them, and I hope they put a smile on your face.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Be sure to check out all of the other fun new products in the Be Creative Release!

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
