Hello, friends! I am excited to share some new products from the Simon Says Stamp June 2023 release called “ Out of This World .” As you can see in the picture above, there are so many goodies in this release! I already see some must-haves that will be going in my cart. For today’s release, I created several cards with the products that I have. Details for each card are below. I also have a YouTube video where I show how I made the first set of cards. Plus, more videos will be coming for the other cards! You can view the video below or head over to YouTube.
Note: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
My first card features the Birthday Shenanigans stamp set. This is a HUGE set of really fun birthday sentiments. I chose to make the most of the sentiments and created a background out of them. This is a really great card to mass produce. You can see in the picture that I made four backgrounds, but I could have easily kept going and playing with different color blends.
My next few cards highlight the new Circle Hoops Embossing Folder. Warning – this folder is addictive! So many ways to play with it. I actually used it with an emboss resist technique and shimmer powders, which is something I usually only do with background stamps. I knew that all the little crevices between the circles would be perfect for collecting all the shimmery goodness of the powders! I will have a video in a few days showing how I made these cards. This first card reminded me of records (remember those???), so I had to use this sentiment from the Reverse Bold Love Sentiment Strips.
This is another background that I made with the Circle Hoops Embossing Folder and shimmer powders. I even cut the pieces for the Layered Warbler bird out of a shimmery, embossed background. The sentiment is from the Hi There Greetings set.
I heat embossed the above card with gold embossing powder on navy card stock. I then embossed the reverse side of the Circle Hoops folder on white card stock and used circle dies to cut out some of the circles to pop up on the navy card. The You’re Out of This World die is brand new from this release – obvious, given its name!
My next card features the new Rotating Quadrants Cling Stamp. AND…some of the brand new Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes! There are two new sets in this release – Green Meadows and Yellow Sunsets. This card features two of the six green cubes in the release. I also used some of the pink ink cubes from last month’s release. I stamped each quadrant with a different color ink, and then I cut the center out where the four colors meet and popped it up on foam tape. I used the Stitched Square Stax Die-namics set from MFT to cut it out. The sentiments come from the Reverse Happy Sentiment Strips.
My last two cards feature the new Balloon Assortment Die Set. This set cuts out nine balloons at once, including a couple heart-shaped balloons that I haven’t used yet. This shaker card above also uses that amazing Circle Hoops Embossing Folder. The sentiment, the shadow for which I used to create the shaker window, is the Script Let’s Party die.
This last card features not just the new balloons, but also a new stencil set called Cloud Lines. This stencil is 4″x9″, so it’s great for any size card, including slimline cards. For the sentiment, I used the Happy Wishes die. Both of these last cards also use the Oh My Stars Confetti from Trinity Stamps.
I hope these cards put a smile on your face today. Be sure to check out all of the other goodies and inspiration from the new Out of This World Release ! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog today.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
