Hello, friends. I hope you’re doing well! Now that it’s August and no longer Christmas in July, I am going to share a non-Christmas card! Don’t get me wrong – there is a lot more holiday stuff coming up. I didn’t have time to make as many summer themed cards this year as I would have liked. Maybe in January, I need to have “Summer in January” and make all summer themed cards! I did, however, find time to make this sweet card for my son to welcome him home from overnight camp.
I do have a new video today showing how I made this card. You can view that below or go directly to YouTube.
Note: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
I created this card using the House Maker 2 Die from The Stamp Market. I used some strip dies for the siding, and I added some balloons from Simon Says Stamp. Although our real home is blue, it is sadly not turquoise. Boo. You know how I love turquoise!
When I bought the new House Maker 2 Die, I also bought the new Happy Home Stamp Set and matching dies. With the addition of these new sentiments to my stash, I really wanted to go back to a card that I had previously made with the original House Maker Die.
Let’s just say that I gave this house a little bit of a renovation. You can see the before and after above. Details for the original house can be found in my blog post HERE. You can also watch me demo the roof and make the new one in my video below or by going directly to YouTube.
I hope these cards put a smile on your face today. Until next time, thank you so much for visiting my blog and YouTube channel.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
