Hello, friends! I hope you have all had a great week so far. I am popping in to help introduce the new Cheering For You Release from Simon Says Stamp! As usual, this release is packed full of products that are sure to please everyone! From Halloween to back-to-school to encouragement and more, there is something for every occasion. And…new sets of mini ink cubes!

I am sharing four of the new products from the release, but I have a bit more that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks. The new products that I am featuring today are:

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I started this card with a panel of white glossy paper. This is from an older pack of paper from Ranger, and I’m not sure that they make it anymore. They do now make white gloss alcohol ink cardstock, which is probably about as close as it gets. I will link that below with all of the other products that I used.

I heat embossed the Old Letter stamp with clear embossing powder. I then used my Distress Crayons to create what you see! It was a lot of fun to make this, although it definitely kept changing as I kept working with the crayons. I had no idea what I would end up with, but I’m so happy with the final result.

The script on the stamp really isn’t meant to be legible, but in this case, it ends up being more texture in the background, which I love. I added my favorite bird, the Layered Warbler, as well as some leaves from the Grand Corner Leaves set. I colored all of these pieces with my distress inks. The sentiments come from the Cozy Autumn Hugs set.

For my second card, I again used the Old Letter stamp, this time heat embossing it onto a panel of watercolor paper. I used a few shades of Magicals shimmer powders to create this beautiful background. To decorate the panel, I added the Fancy Thanks die, cut from the same white glossy card stock that I used for the first card. I also used the Whirl Blossom die set, the Whirl Dragonfly, and the Eucalyptus Leaves.

My third card features the whimsical Simple Sending Love die. I think this font is so cute! I cut it from some Colorblend cardstock that has a red/orange gradient. For my panel, I pulled a die from my stash that I haven’t used in forever – the Shimmer Heart die set. I love how it leaves a stitching detail on the negative piece. I then cut this panel using the Rounded Corner Rectangles set. I also used a new-to-me product from Tim Holtz – the fun Postmarked Sticker Book. After adding a bunch of the stamps to a piece of paper, I added a stamped image from Waffle Flower’s Postage Collage set. Finally, I added a subsentiment from the Reverse Well Wishes Sentiment Strips set.

This next card uses a fun set of Foil Transfers called Acetate Bats. I really love the look of these transfers in black, and since I don’t have black foil, I decided to leave this one just as it comes. I simply attached it to a piece of Colorblend cardstock by using small strips of Scor-tape right behind the larger black images. That way, you don’t see the tape. I then attached this panel to a black card base. And that’s when I decided to step it up a bit by adding this card base into one of the new Acetate Card Bases. Again, I used Scor-tape to attach the back of my black card base to the acetate. On the very back of the acetate, I added a white panel to cover up the tape that showed through from attaching that black card base. I added some string and a couple sentiments from the Reverse Witch Sentiment Strips set. I love how this looks with that pink and purple background!

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog. Leave a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
