Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the last days of summer. I hope, anyway! I am ready for fall, and I’m even more ready for the holidays. I may be heading into full-blown holiday mode soon – fair warning! And speaking of the holidays, I have spent the last few days having some fun with gift giving ideas. The Spellbinders September collections are full of ideas that can step up your gift packaging. From tags to stamps to gift boxes and press plates, there is so much fun to be had.
I am sharing a BUNCH of stuff that I created. I will list the main supplies below, but you can watch all of it come together in my new video! You can CLICK HERE to view on YouTube or watch it below.
NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
Let’s start with these adorable Ribbon Boxes! These are so easy and fast to put together. I think they are the most fun when you use double-sided paper because you can see the other side of the paper from the side of the box – you’ll see what I mean in some of the pictures below. For my boxes, I used some fun paper from Doodlebug. Did you know that Spellbinders sells Doodlebug paper on their website?! I also used some Ephemera from the new Oh Joyful Day collection. There are some other bits and pieces from new collections that I’ll point out in the pictures below.
In addition to ephemera, I decorated this box with some little tags. The “happy” and “holidays” were actually hot foiled with Press Plates from the new Essential Tag Accessories Press Plate & Die Set.
This box features a tag that I made with the new Essential Tags die set. The sentiment comes from the new Season of Wonder Sentiments stamp set from Stampendous. This stamp set is full of sentiments that are perfect for the inside of your cards! But some of them are also perfect for tags. By the way, the ribbon and cord that I used on most of my creations today are from the Spellbinders website! The brand is called Vivant, and it’s all gorgeous.
This last box features a round acetate window so that you can see all of the treats inside! Right now, you can see the other side of this adorable paper, but eventually there will be something yummy in there. But you can also see the benefit of that double sided paper from this side view. Isn’t that cute?
Next, I made some gift bags using the Gift Bag Die and the Oh Joyful Day 6×6 Paper Pack. I hot foiled some more sentiments from the Essential Tag Accessories Press Plate & Die Set. I also die some partial die cutting for that border die on the red bag. That fun, white die is from the Nested Tree Frame set. You can see me partial die cutting it in my VIDEO.
I did not include making these bags in this video because I already have a video where I used this Gift Bag Die. CLICK HERE to see how to make these bags!
This tag features the new new Essential Tags die set. The adorable tree comes from the Nested Tree Frame set. The embossed background is from one of the plates in the new Holiday Backgrounds Panels Press Plates set. This is a set of BetterPress plates, and you can see in my VIDEO how I embossed the tag with one of them. The “Happy Holidays” sentiment is from the new Season of Wonder Sentiments stamp set.
My last goodies to share for today are these sweet tags that I made using the Essential Tags die set. I hot foiled a couple of the Holiday Backgrounds Panels Press Plates. And I added some of that adorable Oh Joyful Day Ephemera.
I hope these projects bring a smile to your face today. I had a lot of fun making them! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
