Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am excited to be sharing some new products from the Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes Release! As always, this release is packed full of products that are sure to please everyone! There are lots of fun Halloween products, Christmas and winter themed products, lovely floral and birthday products, and even a new trio of red ink colors!

I am sharing three of the new products from the release, but I have a bit more that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks. The new products that I am featuring today are:

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card features the Vintage Holiday Swag stamp set. I stepped outside of my comfort zone a bit and watercolored this beauty! I do actually enjoy watercoloring, but I just don’t do it often enough. I used my Distress Ink cubes to both stamp and paint this image. I stamped it first with Old Paper Distress Ink. I then went in with all of my other colors, which included Lucky Clover, Forest Moss, Bundled Sage, Gathered Twigs, Scorched Timber, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, Lumberjack Plaid, and Fired Brick. That’s a lot of colors! I was just having fun adding shading here and there.

Once I was finished, I added some Speckled Egg around the entire stamped image. I stamped the “Peace” sentiment from the stamp set with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I framed the panel with the Stitched Rectangle Frames from My Favorite Things.

For my second card, I am featuring the new CZ Design Merry Christmas die. This die comes with a shadow die, and that’s what I used to create the window for my shaker card. I cut the window into a white panel that I had trimmed with a die from the Postage Stamp Edge Frames set. I added a piece of acetate to the back of the window, added some foam tape around the window, sprinkled some clear sequins inside and added a piece of white card stock on the back to close up the shaker. I cut the “Merry Christmas” from white card stock and then colored each letter with a different color Copic marker. The sentiment comes from the Noted Holiday stamp set.

My last card features the fun Spooky Tree Arch die set. This is another shaker card, but this time it’s also a shaped, round card! I used distress inks again, but this time I ink blended my colors. The background includes the following colors: Twisted Citron, Forest Moss, Scorched Timber, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, and Villainous Potion. The “inside” portion (or the back of the shaker) features Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Villainous Potion.

I did fussy cut the center of my round panel in order to have the shaker mechanism in between the trees. It was a lot of fussy cutting, but I think it was worth it! Instead of using regular acetate for the shaker, I used a sheet from the Acetate Bats Foil Transfer set. So, those black bats are on the acetate, and the shaker bits are behind that. I cut the trees from black card stock and the adorable ghosts from white card stock. The sentiment comes from the Reverse Witch, Please Sentiment Strips.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog. Leave a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! And stay tuned because I will be sharing another product this weekend! Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
