I do have a video on my YouTube channel showing how I made today’s cards. You can watch that below or CLICK HERE to view on YouTube.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

The Small Die of the Month for November is called “Birthday Bliss,” and it includes two adorable critters. I used the turtle for this first card. For the backgrounds on both of my cards today, I used my brand new Betterpress system, along with a new set of press plates called Bold Color Mix Numbers. As you can see, these numbers are really large and have so many design possibilities. There is also a set of matching dies, which can also be used on their own.

All of the dies on this card are from the Small Die kit, except for the sentiment. These dies come in the “Party Time Cake” bonus set that you get if you subscribe to the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club.

For my second card, I featured the adorable sloth. The little banners at the top come from the Large Die of the Month, as does that adorable bowtie. Isn’t he so handsome with the bowtie?! There is a banner that comes in the Small Die kit that says “Birthday Bliss,” but I chose to use a slightly shorter sentiment, which I stamped from the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments stamp set. This has become one of my go-to sets for sentiments!

I shared this card in a previous video. This was the first card I made with this month’s kit. I just can’t get enough of that sloth. He looks so happy! The sentiment is the same one that I used on the slimline sloth card above. I just stamped each word separately so that I could have two lines instead of one. Partial stamping is easy and allows you to stretch the use of your stamps!

That is it for my cards today. Be sure to hop along for your chance at a $25 gift card!

  1. The tortoise is so cute….I’m wondering if there are other animals that can be made with his body. I love both him and the sloth. I like how you made the sky on the sloth card. It’s very cool.

  2. Such fun cards. Love the way you created the background. Goes perfectly with the adorable critters. Thanks for the inspiration!
