Hello, friends! I am excited to be sharing some cards that I have made with the new To Be Loved release from Simon Says Stamp! This collection is full of love – flowers, hearts, sweets, and even some shamrocks!
NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
My first card features the new Always and Forever Stamp Set. This set is huge and has so many different images and sentiments. I chose the largest image, the heart with the flowers. After stamping the heart, I fussy cut it. I also cut the inside, so that I ended up with a frame. This stamp set does have a matching die set, but I don’t have it yet. I knew that I wanted to create a shaker, so I just fussy cut the opening in my white panel. I did that by tracing around the piece that I had fussy cut. I added acetate and foam tape to the back of the white panel, added in some shaker bits, and adhered a pink piece of card stock to the back. I colored my heart and glued it on top of the white panel, over the opening. I also stamped the sentiments from the set. I think this is the sweetest shaker!
When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I like to give my family either a gift card or some sweets. So, I love making tags and gift card holders. The tags and gift card holders above feature the new Swirly Hearts Stamp Set. Each of these feature some element from the stamp set. I pulled in an older sentiment for the tag, and I used the Harlequin Heart Stamp that was released last month for one of the gift card holders. I used the Gift Card Pocket Envelope Die to create these holders. It is so quick and easy to do!
My third card features the new Hugs to You Stamp Set . The stems and flowers are separate stamps in the set, so I created the flowers that you see on this card and then fussy cut them out. I came up with the idea of using paper strips for my background, and as soon as I saw the sweet little flowers against the strips, I decided not to color them! I think they’re so cute uncolored. I did create a little scene, and I had to go diving into my stash to find some cloud stamps, as well as the cute little butterfly. I used an older die set from Honey Bee for the grass. The sentiment on the grass comes from the new EZ Strips Birthday Stamp Set. This stamp set is unique because it is one huge stamp that stamps all the sentiments at once. I used some masking on the surrounding sentiments so that I could stamp just this one happy birthday onto the green card stock. There is a matching die that cuts out all of the sentiments. The same die matches up with a few other recent products!
My last card features the new Love You More Die. This does come with a shadow die, but I chose not to use that piece. I ink blended the words with orange and yellow inks and then added some white gel pen highlights. I stenciled the background with the Falling in Love Stencil that was released last month. Again, I added some white gel pen highlights, and then I added a few orange and yellow enamel hearts.
I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog today.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
