Hello, friends! I hope you all have been enjoying your week. I have been busy playing with the Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders. In fact, I have been so busy with that (busy being addicted), that I have not had a chance to play with my other kit yet, so stay tuned for when I will share the Small Die of the Month. These are my favorite clubs to play with from Spellbinders, since you know I love die cutting. This month’s theme for the clubs mainly centers around spring and Easter.

In addition to releasing the club kits today, Spellbinders is having a “Clearance Cleanout Sale,” so be sure to check that out for savings of up to 70%!

One of my favorite aspects of the Spellbinders clubs is that you can cancel at any time. If you don’t like the club kit next month, just cancel it! The subscription window for new members ends on the 27th of the month, assuming that the club kit(s) has not already sold out.

EARLY ACCESS TO NEW CARDSTOCK COLLECTION!

Are you already a club member or thinking of joining one of the clubs? One of the great benefits to being a club member is that you have early access to new products before they become available to the general public! There is a BIG release of new colored card stock called ColorWheel Cardstock this month, along with some really fun dies to make swatches. I share a little bit of a peek at that in my video today. If you’re a club member and want any of it, you can place your order now. Just CLICK HERE to see all of the goodies being released this month. There are, of course, many other amazing collections being released, which I will be sharing soon.

If you’re a fan of all (or even most) of the clubs, you might be interested in the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club. This club is offered at an exceptional value and includes all ten clubs PLUS a bonus item. For February, the bonus item is a die called “Pip,” which is an adorable chick perfect for this month’s theme.

Let’s move on to my cards today! I have a new video sharing how I made these. You can CLICK HERE to view on YouTube or watch it below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

The February Large Die of the Month is called “Dancin’ Hoppy Bunnies Everywhere,” and it is definitely LARGE. So many fun pieces are in this set, and I tried to use all of the elements. But, I only really used one element on each card, other than the bunny itself. I have a lot of cards today, and they are pretty clean and simple, so there aren’t a whole lot of details to share here. I did bring in some basic dies to create panels for the cards, and you can see what those are in both my video and the supply list thumbnails below. I also had fun raiding my stash of old patterned paper.

This card is the one that I spent the most time on and has the most detail. You can watch in my video how I created the paint splatters on the alphabet letters. I also mention in the video that I used sentiment strips from Simon Says Stamp for several of the cards today. I actually used several different sets but only showed one of them in the video. You can see the other one that I used in the supply thumbnails at the end of this post. The one on this card actually comes from a mystery set because I often cut a bunch out at once, and then they sometimes get mixed up. There are a lot of sets with basic sentiments just like this one, though.

Isn’t this card so sweet? You can start seeing why I made so many cards. It is like playing with paper dolls, and if you need a distraction like I do lately, this set is perfect for that. So much fun to be had! You will also notice that I included the little chick on each of my cards. I adore this little chick, and I thought it was fun to use as the common thread throughout the set of cards. It also added just a little pop of color to the otherwise monochromatic color schemes.

One thing that I do mention in my video is how I had purposely covered up the line where the head meets the body. I did this for pretty much every card, and I mostly regret it now because you can see how, by eliminating any sign of a neck, it makes this little girl look like she’s been eating way too many carrots! Hahaha. She is still adorable, though, but going forward, I may make them differently.

You will notice that I used three different colors for the bodies of the bunnies. And, like I mentioned above, you will also notice that each card is monochromatic. That is because I selected one color from the new ColorWheel Cardstock collection for each card. Again, I show you the whole color palette that I chose and the swatch that I made in my video. I will also be sharing these swatches in detail next week.

For this last card, I am highlighting the color “Waterfall.” This color is carrying over from the existing line of paper, and I’m so glad because it is my favorite turquoise paper. Some of the colors in the new line of 48 colors have carried over, but many are new. Have I mentioned before how much I love paper? Obviously if you’re a cardmaker, you love paper, too!

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. Leave me a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
