Hello, friends! Pretty Pink Posh is turning 11, and I am thrilled to be guest designing for their fabulous new birthday release. I have lots of fun stuff to share over the next few weeks, including a shaker card today where I created my own custom shaker element. Pretty Pink Posh has no shortage of shaker dies. In fact, they are well known for their assortment of dies that make shaker cards so easy and accessible. But, I wanted to try something different and use my dies in an unexpected way. In addition to the shaker, I have a fun little set of birthday cards to share. I used the following main products from the release for my cards today.

Special Offers:

Pretty Pink Posh has some special offers to celebrate this release. The first is a free gift offer, where you will receive a stamp and die set if you spend $125 and over. No code needed. They are also offering 10% off your entire purchase when you use the code “CELEBRATE11” at checkout.

Let’s move on to my cards today! I have a new video sharing how I made these. You can CLICK HERE to view on YouTube or watch it below.

My first card features the new Streamers die set and Birthday Cake Pops set. I took the pennant streamer and single pennant shaped dies and turned them into a shaker element! You can watch how I did this in my video linked above. I used some new shaker beads, which I just love. The cake pops are so adorable. I especially love this set because I make cake pops at home. It’s because I make them at home that I know how glossy and shiny they are, and that’s why I used some glossy card stock to make the pops and all the sprinkles. The “Party” die comes from the Let’s Party Shadow set.

These next three cards all feature an older stamp set that I’ve had in my stash, and I’m so excited to finally be using it. I think I’ve only used it once before. Who can relate? The set is called Birthday Borders, and the borders are just a perfect match for the new Birthday Dogs & Cats set. I also used the matching dies. All of these cards were very simple. I used a combination of Copic and OLO markers to color all of the images.

Isn’t this cat adorable? And I think this present border is probably my favorite of the three. This is also the border that I used on the card that I said I had made a few years ago with this set.

The last card in this series features the new Number Candles Stamp Set (and matching dies). One thing that I hadn’t done yet when I was taking photos and showing the cards in the video is to add some Glossy Accents to the number candles. I think these will help them stand out from the background a little more.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. Leave me a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison

  1. Your cards are a total delight! Love the critter cards and that last card REALLY makes me want to buy the candle products! I adore the shaker… the cohesiveness of the shaker and the dots on top of the cake pops is genius. SO GOOD! Love all of these!
