Hello, friends! I am so excited to share this card today that I made with the brand new Winnie the Pooh Release from La-La Land Crafts. This release is absolutely adorable and is full of stamp sets, dies, a stencil set, and of course, an amazing paper pack perfect for creating scenes.

I have a new video where I do a walk-through of the paper pack, as well as the stamps and dies in this release. And, I show how I created this card! You can CLICK HERE to watch the video on YouTube, or you can watch below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

Before I talk about the card that I made in the video, I wanted to share another card that I have made with this release. The card above features an image from the “Oh Bother” Stamp Set, as well as the pots and shelves from the “Small Honey Pots” die set. I colored the image, as well as all the die cuts (cut from white paper) with alcohol markers. I used a combination of OLO and Copic markers in the following colors:

  • Pooh: OLO YO2.2, YO2.3; Copic YR24, Y21
  • Pooh’s hunny pot: OLO BG7.2, BG7.3, BG7.6
  • Blue pots: Copic BG72, BG75, BG78
  • Red pots: OLO R5.1, R5.3, R5.5
  • Brown pots: OLO OR3.4, OR3.7, OR3.8
  • Honey drips: YO2.2, YO2.3, YO2.5
  • Bees: YO2.3
  • Shelves: Copic E71, E74, E77, E79 (then swiped OLO YO2.3 to warm up the color)

For the card panel, I first ink blended the edges of the paper with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo inks. To add more texture, I ink blended Antique Linen ink through the “Snowy Hills” layering stencil set. There are two stencils in this set. I used the one that makes snowflakes. I went heavier around the edges and then lighter as I started getting toward the middle. There is a “Honeycomb Stencil Set” that is part of this Winnie the Pooh Release that would obviously have been better, but I do not have that set.

To add even more detail, I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the honey drips to give them a dimensional shine. I also fussy cut the little bees from the “Hold on Tight” stamp set to scatter around the design. I finished with a sentiment from the “Oh Bother” stamp set.

Let’s move on to the card that I featured in the video. You know that I love the scenic paper packs from La-La Land Crafts, but I don’t often use the smaller scenes. I decided to use some of those smaller scenes from the new “In The Forest” paper pack and make them into stamps using the “Postage Squares” die set. The “Large Partial Balloon Die” is from the new release, and of course the image of Pooh and Piglet hanging onto the balloon string is just adorable. They are from the “Hold On Tight” stamp set, one of five stamp sets in this collection. I love how each stamp set comes with sentiments that fit the images. All of the sentiments are quotes from the original Winnie the Pooh books! Note that Winnie the Pooh is now part of the public domain, as the associated copyright expired at the end of 2021. That is why we are able to enjoy collections like this!

I did color Pooh and Piglet off camera, so here are the colors of Copic and OLO markers that I used:

  • Pooh: OLO YO2.2, YO2.3; Copic YR24, Y21
  • Piglet: Copic R00, R20, R30
  • Piglet’s shirt: Copic BG72, BG78

I hope this card brings a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
