Both of my cards today feature the new Party Hat Shaker die set. For this first card, I chose to make a solid hat instead of a shaker, and that versatility is one of the things I love most about Pretty Pink Posh’s shaker dies. As soon as I saw this die set, it immediately made me think of the adorable Layered Party Hats Stencils, which came out a few years ago. I always love getting use out of my older products, and look how perfectly this background ties in with this hat! Polka dots and all!  The sentiment is the new Let’s Party Shadow die set.

My second card features the party hat as a shaker, of course. I used the new Birthday Wish Shaker Beads, which inspired the color palette for the card. I decided to make my own background using the new Upright Greetings: Birthday Stamp Set. I picked two of the sentiments and stamped them repeatedly across the width of my card panel. I think it gives such a fun, unique look! I also stamped the “Let’s” and “Party” from that set to add the little sentiment to the hat itself. The colorful dots that are scattered around the panel were courtesy of a small die from the new Birthday Cake Pops Die set.

Speaking of the Birthday Cake Pops set, you can see the card I made with that set, along with several other cards, in my previous blog post. CLICK HERE to see those cards, as well as a video.

  1. The greens look so cute with the pink, and with the blue. They stand out beautifully. Nice job decorating….

  2. I like how you incorporated different elements to your cards and they all contributed to nicely finished projects. The sentiment background was a clever idea and worked well. I like the color combo on both cards and the use of sequins.
