My card today features the adorable pups from the Birthday Dogs & Cats Stamp Set. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers in the following colors: COO, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, R20, R24, R29, Y13, Y15, Y17, B02, B05. I then cut the images out with the matching dies. I cut the Stitched Film Strip Die, which I’ve had in my stash for several years, with black glossy card stock. I cut a slightly smaller piece of white card stock and then used the various shades of markers to color a background for each pup. I then trimmed and glued the pups to this background piece and glued the black film strip on top.
I took a strip of gray card stock and pounced some white pigment ink through the new Paw Prints Stencil. I trimmed that down to 1.75″ x 5.5″. I then adhered that panel on top of a white panel that I had dry embossed with the new Wavy Stripes Stencil. To dry emboss with a stencil, you just follow the same instructions that come with your die cutting machine for embossing with a die. Dry embossing adds subtle texture, which I love. I adhered my film strip on top of the card panel and then added my sentiment, which I had white heat embossed on black paper. To finish the card, I dove into my stash of 4mm sequins to find a sequin in each color.
You can see all of the other cards that I have designed with this amazing birthday collection below. You can click on the images to go to the related blog post that describes the card.
I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. Leave me a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
