Hello, friends! I hope your week has been going well. As promised in my last video, I am back to share some adorable cards featuring the new  Little Smiles Collection  from Spellbinders. I have a really easy, yet impactful, Z-fold card. I also have a super cute baby card to share.

My projects today feature the following products from the Little Smiles Collection:

I do have a new video showing how I made my projects today. You can CLICK HERE to watch on YouTube, or you can view below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first project is a really easy Z-fold card that features the Swinging Among the Stars set. There is an elephant and a hippo in this set, and I chose the elephant. Isn’t he darling? Creating the Z-fold for your card is incredibly easy. You just start with a regular side folding A2 card base. And then you score the front flap in half (at 2 1/8″) and fold it back upon itself. Once you have that Z fold, the possibilities are endless. There is a die that cuts the “strings” that attaches the star balloon to the basket, but I had to figure something else out that would work with the folds. You’ll see in the video how I decided to use string!

Once I figured out how to attach the basket to the ballon, everything else was just decoration. The stars and the big cloud at the bottom come from the Bundle of Joy set, which I use for my next card. The sentiments on both cards are from the Little Smiles Sentiments, which is a press plate and matching die. I stamped it with the black ink that comes with the BetterPress system

My second card features the adorable Bundle of Joy set. I just can’t get over the cuteness of that little baby! And there are several other ways to accessorize him or her, including socks, a diaper and a bow. I used the new Falling Stars BetterPress Plate and some yellow ink from my stash to stamp a light yellow background. It’s a subtle tone-on-tone look that I love. There is a matching embossing folder that embosses stars in the areas of this background where there are no stamped stars. I think it’s a great combo idea. I used a scallop die to cut my card panel, and then I cut all of the clouds and other elements to conform to that scallop shape. You can see how I did that in my video

That’s it for my projects today. I hope they put a smile on your face! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
