Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am excited to be sharing some cards today featuring the new Yana’s Daisies Collection from Spellbinders! This is a beautiful release, as always, from Yana Smakula. The collection has several BetterPress plates, along with a die set and embossing folder. I am sharing the Daisy Shower Press Plate today, and I have colored it in two different ways.

For both cards today, I used Rainbow Splash ink from Simon Says Stamp to ink up the Daisy Shower Press Plate. I find that this ink performs really well with large press plates like this. I used the color “Sea” for my first card. I then used the Layered Daisy Shower Stencil set to color the panel. This stencil set has four stencils and comes in a bundle with the plate. I used Pinkfresh Studio inks for my stenciling, and I used the following colors:
- Sweet Mustard
- Marigold
- Apricot
- Clementine
- Persimmon
- Grassy Knoll
- Olive
The “smile” sentiment is from the Fresh Picked Sentiments die set, and the subsentiment is from the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments Stamp Set. I stamped and heat embossed that subsentiment on black paper. To finish the card, I added a bunch of blue gems to the panel.
For my second card, I used the Rainbow Splash color “Dandelion” to ink up the press plate. This press plate is so gorgeous that you really don’t need to do anything with it. You could just add a pretty sentiment to it and call it done. For this card, I added minimal color with my markers. I added some very faint mint/turquoise color to the stems and petals with my Copic markers. Most of the coloring is on the centers of the flowers, and I’m really happy with the detail and dimension that I achieved. I just used several different colors of yellow and orange alcohol markers, adding several layers of dots to create the look.
To add some interest to this card, I cut my stenciled panel at an angle and adhered it to a white piece of cardstock. I then added some velvet ribbon along that diagonal edge and then added my sentiment. The anniversary sentiment comes from the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set. This was from another one of Yana’s collections, released in 2024. To finish up this card, I added some white pearl embellishments.
That is it for my cards today. I hope they bring a smile to your face. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
