Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am popping in today to share another card that I have made featuring the new Yana’s Daisies Collection from Spellbinders. This time, I am featuring the Yana’s Daisies die set, and I show you how to add a really unique detail to these flowers.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
For my card today, I used the Yana’s Daisies die set. This is somewhat of a die cut inlay technique without all the piecing involved. You can see in the video how I glued the first layer onto the card base with the petals intact. Then I added the outline layers (without the petals) on top. To see a more traditional die cut inlay technique using a similar die from Yana, CLICK HERE for that video. I added very subtle shading to the petals and the leaves using Frayed Leaf ink from Altenew. The card base itself is a piece of patterned paper from the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe 6×8 Paper Pad.
Aside from the beautiful daisy die, the star of the show on this card is the flower centers. I used Prills for this. Again, you can watch the video to see how I used this product. I have been wanting to use Prills for awhile now, and I finally bought some from Spellbinders recently. They carry a few other colors, but I used the Ribbit color. I think this really kicked things up a notch on this monochromatic card.
My sentiment is from the Typewriter Adventure Sentiments stamp set. I know, I know. I use this set for almost all of my cards. I can’t help it. It has a sentiment for every occasion, and I love the typewriter font. Everyone should have their go-to sentiment set, and this is obviously mine. What you can’t see on the card, but you’ll see in the video, is the new Cardmaker’s T-square A2 from Pear Blossom Press. I used this tool to make sure that my sentiment was straight on the card. But, it has so many other features, all of which are really unique and clever. This is relatively new and has been flying off the shelf!
That is it for my card today. I hope it brings a smile to your face. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
