Hello, Friends! Today, I am sharing this adorable card featuring the new Winter Wonderland dies from Concord & 9th. There is a separate stamp set, but these dies are amazing on their own. There are a ton of dies to create separate things like snowmen and cars with Christmas trees on top. And, of course, these nutcrackers.

Making the Card
In case it hasn’t been obvious, I have been extremely addicted to die cutting lately. Yes, I own stamps…and markers! One day soon, I will pull them out again. In the meantime, this card clearly started with a lot of die cutting. I wanted to make my nutcrackers tone on tone, so I grabbed a bunch of colored card stock from my scrap bin and went to town. In some cases, I used markers to achieve the color that I wanted, such as the noses and the darker yellow color. You can definitely mix it up with these nutcrackers and make them all look different. I decided to keep mine looking relatively the same, aside from the hats. This set includes 4 different hat dies!
Once I was finished with all of the die cutting, I glued all of the elements together. I inlaid certain components, like the eyes and the buttons, by putting tape on the back of the die cut and just popping the tiny black circles into place. I used white card stock for the main body element. I did look at pictures of nutcrackers online and really liked the ones with white hair. They all look a little bit like they have a cold – I’m not sure why I decided to color their noses darker than their face!
This new Double Stripe Card Front Die is pretty brilliant, and I find that to be the case with many of Concord & 9th’s products. You can add this stripe pattern in either a horizontal or vertical direction on an A2 card front. And it doesn’t cut the outside border, which Concord & 9th has perfected in its cover dies. I love that you can just feed your entire card base through your die cutting machine and only cut the design on the front panel. I used Peacock card stock for my card base – I love this color!
My sentiment consists of a die cut “falala” from this same die set that I cut from glossy black card stock, as well as a stamped sentiment from the Big on Christmas stamp set. I glued everything to my card base and then embellished all of the hats with matching colored jewels.
I hope this card puts a smile on your face! Be sure to check out all of the new goodies from Concord & 9th – the recent release is really spectacular. Thank you so much for visiting today.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
