Hello, friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I am excited to share my cards featuring the July 2024 Spellbinders Monthly Clubs. We are officially in Christmas in July – yay! All the clubs feature the holiday theme. One of my favorite aspects of the Spellbinders clubs is that you can cancel at any time. If you don’t like the club kit next month, just cancel it! The subscription window for new members ends on the 27th of the month, assuming that the club kit(s) has not already sold out. One of the other great benefits to being a club member is that you have early access to new products before they become available to the general public!

SPELLBINDERS SALE!: There is a big sale at Spellbinders right now where you can save $25 off a $125 purchase! Plus, you’ll get free shipping, since shipping is free with purchases over $100. This is one of my favorite kinds of sales at Spellbinders because it’s not specific to any group of products. I may just have to finally order that Scout die cutting machine! It’s my birthday in a few days, so I have to…right?? It’s a great time to stock up on paper, too, and paper is actually a big topic in today’s video!

For today’s cards, I will be using the Large Die of the Month and the Small Die of the Month . I chose to make very similar cards with the kits today, and they both are heavily inspired by the cards that I made last July with kits.

If you’re a fan of all (or even most) of the clubs, you might be interested in the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club. This club is offered at an exceptional value and includes all ten clubs PLUS a bonus item. For July, there are TWO bonus items – the Christmas Haul All Occasion Sentiments and the Joyful Holly Stencil. These bonus items are only available to members of this Deluxe Club.

Let’s get to the cards that I made! I have a new video sharing the process for each card. You can CLICK HERE to view on YouTube or watch it below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

For my first card, I used the Small Die of the Month “Skating into the Holidays”. This is a slimline card which measures 3.75″ x 8.75″. I embossed my panel first, and that is one of the reasons why I love embossing folders from Spellbinders – they are big enough to emboss larger scale panels! I used several kinds of specialty cardstock on this card, including some glossy cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and some really fabulous green cardstock (pictured above) from Your Paper Insider – Box 7. I also used my new favorite brown cardstock (Latte), which is from Spellbinders.

My second card looks very similar to my first card, right? This time, I used the Large Die kit, “Snowcapped Holidays”. I used more paper from Your Paper Insider. The blue paper pictured above was from Box 4, and I am hoarding the rest of it! I used the same embossing folder and technique for the main card panel, but this time I made my cream colored card base 4″ x 9″, since the bird house is so big. I hot foiled my sentiment with Pewter colored foil, which is just a little more in line with my color palette than silver or gold would have been.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog!

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison

  1. Love both cards! I’m interested in the distress spritz, what makes them different?
