Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am taking a little break from Christmas in July festivities and popping in to share some cards that I made with some really beautiful paper. You may remember a month or so ago that I played with some really fun paper from La-La Land Crafts. I had combined it with the Postage Collage dies from Waffle Flower, and I was so pleased with the results. Well, now I am playing with another paper pack from La-La Land Crafts. This one is called “Spring Song”, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I did actually pair it with another postage set from Waffle Flower for one of the cards, but all three of the cards just simply let the paper sing on its own.

I have a new video on YouTube showing how these cards came together, as well as a walk-through of the paper pack. You can CLICK HERE to go directly to YouTube, or you can watch it below.

Note: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

For my first card, I paired one of the paper designs with the “Exquisite Hummingbird” from Simon Says Stamp. I also used the “Big Hugs Posh Script” from Memory Box. This card is 4.5″ x 6″ because I didn’t want to cut too much of that beautiful paper off! I don’t worry about my card sizes and really try to let the overall design determine the size. This will fit in a 5 x 7 envelope!

My second card features the “Whirl Dragonfly” from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is from the “Layered Mix & Match Sentiments” from Spellbinders. I cut the words from black glossy cardstock. I used some black glitter cardstock for the striped margin on the left, as well as the body of the dragonfly.

My last card is the one that features a Waffle Flower postage set – this is the “Oversized Postage Combo”, which includes the dies and the stamps. They’re both also sold separately. I kept the stamping pretty simple so that the paper would just sing on its own. When I first saw the paper, it reminded me of a beautiful postage stamp, so the choice of what to do was simple! I stamped my card base with the “Handwritten” cling stamp before adding my postage shaped panel. The “hello” is from the “Hello Moonlight” script from Poppystamps.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
