Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am sharing several cards today that feature products from the new Snow Fun Release from Waffle Flower. This release is amazing and actually couldn’t be more timely, as we just had our first snow this week in Colorado! My niece has been visiting this weekend and is leaving to go back to school in New York, where apparently it is going to be 80 degrees again this week?? That is crazy. I’m going to stick with snow. Let’s get started!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

UPDATE: I have a new video showing how I made this card. You can head over to YouTube to watch it!

My first card features the new Snowflake Cluster Die. This is such a beautiful die, and it can really go from fun to elegant. I obviously went in the elegant direction for my card. Aside from the die itself, the card features some specialty paper from Your Paper Insider. I will be sharing a short video soon showing this paper and how I created the panel with a delicate tissue paper. I think the turquoise is such a beautiful base for this gold die. The sentiment is from the Snow Cheer Sentiments Stamp and Die Combo. The stamp and die sets are also sold separately. This set has a bunch of fun snow-themed sentiments, but it also has classic sentiments like this one. I heat embossed this sentiment with a beautiful gold embossing powder from WOW! called “Glitz”. As a finishing touch, I added some glitter drops from Pinkfresh Studio. These are the Sparkle and Shine Ombre color.

My second card features the new Postage Collage Snowy Stencil. This is the latest addition to the postage collage collection, so it works with the Postage Collage Die. The scenes on this design are why I love living in Colorado, so this stencil set had my heart right away! I stenciled this using PinkFresh Inks, and I used my happy colors, which are also pretty prevalent on the rest of my cards. The main colors that I used include: Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Ocean Breeze, Mermaid Cove, Limoncello, Grassy Knoll, Misty Coast and Rocky Slope. The sentiment is another sentiment from the new Snow Cheer Sentiments Stamp and Die Combo, which I white heat embossed on black card stock. I stamped some fun little elements all over the panel using the original Postage Collage Stamp Set. The black snowflakes are from the North Pole Stamp Set. I mounted the panel onto a shaped card that I made using my favorite Deckled Frames Die Set.

My third card features the beautiful new Frosty Panel Die. I cut this out of a panel that I had created months ago using ink sprays. I love having panels in my stash that are ready for when something really inspires me to use them! I think the color variation in this panel looks so amazing with this die. I laid the die on top of a panel that I softly inked with some pink ink. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the pink is heavier in some areas than others. The sentiment is from the Happy Holidays Print Die. I used Sparkling Rose ink from Pinkfresh Studio to create an ombre look to the sentiment. The white glitter snowflakes are from the Small Snowflake Die. The die is a free gift with purchase when you spend at least $25 on this new release at Waffle Flower. Make sure to add the gift to your cart and enter the code “GT411” during checkout. This die is only available while supplies last! As a finishing touch, I added some glitter drops from Pinkfresh Studio to the center of the snowflakes. These are the Blush color glitter drops.

My last card is a really fun shaker that features the new Snowcapped Hello Word Die. I created this triple window scene thanks to a die that comes in the Deckled Frames Die set. I used one of the snowmen from the Postage Collage Snowmen Stencil and stenciled it three times in different colors on my back panel. I used Kitsch Flamingo and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks, as well as Slumber Ink from Pinkfresh Studio. This was the only image that really fit these windows, but I love stretching the use of those stencils. Best part is that this snowman is super fast to create! I used some fun paper from Waffle Flower to create the top panel and the main part of the Hello. This paper is from their Half-Half paper pads, which come in various color themes. The snowcapped pieces were made from white glitter card stock, as were the small snowflakes. Again, those snowflakes are the “free with purchase” item (see graphic above). These snowflakes are really the perfect accent, and they die cut beautifully. I added white pearl embellishments to the centers to finish off the design.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. I had fun making all of them, and I want to give a big thank you to Waffle Flower for sending me these goodies! I know I will be enjoying them all winter long. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison

  1. First time here but so glad! I’ve really admired your postage stamp creations and come back on YT to watch but decided today to stop trying to remember the ideas and go to your blog – it is so nice! I’ve become a subscriber so I don’t have to make so many notes – but mainly to absorb your creativity – thanks for sharing.
